Dr. Elena L. Tolstov is doctor and scientist (MD, PhD) being involved in multiple scientific studies of innovative rehabilitation, pain management, and chemical dependency. She devoted all her life to the development and implementation of culturally sensitive Integrative Pain Management Program for poor and indigent people in need.

Dr. Elena Tolstov is an active political leader in support of revision of US Pain Management and Rehabilitation guidelines, addressing opioid epidemic and protecting US pain doctors from prosecutio

Dr. Elena Tolstov is an active member of Russian community of the USA. She is a Chair of East European Medical Society of MN. She’ve been publishing articles on medical topics in Russian media “Zerkalo” every month for the last 12 years. She gives regular pro bono (free) talks in Russian and English-speaking media, TV and radio. She is the Chair/Board member of charitable organizations supporting young scholars from Russian community (Nasha Shkola). She supports Russian World War II veterans. She developed Primary Care and Rehabilitation programs for Russian-speaking population of MN. She supports multiple community projects of the Russian American Business Cultural Association (RAMA).

Tolstov developed Integrative Pain Management and Rehabilitation Program combined with Chemical dependency program is scientifically based, safe, cost effective, and welcomed by patients. It is the future of medicine, realistic way to taper/discontinue opioids and concur illicit drugs epidemics.

  • participated in multiple clinical trials with Botuinum Neurotoxons (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Myobloc) which are very important parts of Integrative Pain Management & Rehabilitation and Chemical dependency and proved that BoNT can change pain perception peripherally and centrally (in the brain) and allow to taper/ discontinue narcotics and stop illicit drug
